Add products in Catalog Manager

Learn how to create new items in your store catalog.

Create new products using Catalog Manager

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Catalog Manager.
    The Catalog Manager link is under Edit.
  4. On the Manage Products page, select the table from the View table pull-down menu. This will most likely be default-table.

  5. Click the Add button.

  6. Add or set the following required properties to the item:
    • ID - A unique identifier for the item. Used in the URL for the page in Store Editor.
    • Name - The name of your item. For example: Gadget.
    • Code - The item's SKU, stock number, ISBN, or any other alpha-numeric code you use to identify your products.
    • Orderable (defaults to Yes)
    • Taxable (defaults to Yes)
    • Condition (defaults to New)

      Even though they aren't required, it's recommended to set the following values as well:
       
    • Price (if there is a charge for the item) Learn more.
    • Image - Click the Upload button to add an image for your item.
    • Caption - Descriptive text for your product.
    • Ship-weight (if your shipping rates are base on weight) Learn more.

      Note: The remaining fields on this page are optional, but may be used to customize the item further.
  7. Click Save or Save and Add Another if you wish to add more items.

  8. Publish your catalog when ready.

Important: If you use Store Editor, be sure to publish Store Editor as well to generate the item pages. Learn more.
