Adding specials directly from the homepage

Learn how to easily add and removed featured products right from your homepage.

The Store Editor allows you to set sections or items as specials. Sections or Items marked special will appear on your Homepage in the Featured Products area. This is a great way to promote sale items or slow sellers by giving them an increased presence in your store. This document will show you how to add specials directly from the Homepage, but you can also set specials by navigating to them in your store.

Manage specials on the Homepage

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Store Editor and navigate to your Homepage.

  4. From the Advanced Editor toolbar, click the Edit button while on the Homepage.

  5. Enter the IDs of the items or sections you wish to display as specials in the Specials field.

  6. Click the Update button.

  7. You will be taken to the homepage and the item or section marked as special will appear on the page. When ready, make sure to publish to push these changes to your online store.

Note for merchants using Design Wizard templates.

If you do not see the special appearing on the Homepage:

  1. Click the Edit button on the Homepage.
  2. Click the Change button for the Page-elements field.
  3. Make sure there is a number appearing next to the Specials box. If no number appears, then your Homepage will not display specials. Learn more.

Note: If you use database uploads to edit your site, you will need to reset all specials as using database uploads erases all items/sections marked as special.
