Customize your order emails with HTML

Add a logo, update the colors, and change the look of your order confirmation and status update emails with HTML.

Before you can customize your HTML order emails, you will need to enable this feature.

Customize the HTML for your order emails

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Shipment & Order Status.
    The Shipment & Order Status link is under Order Settings.
  4. Select which email to customize: Confirmation Email or Status Update Email.

    For this example, we'll use the Confirmation Email; the steps are the same for Status Update Email.
  5. Click Confirmation Email HTML Template...

    ...to edit your outgoing emails right in the browser.

  6. You can also download the default and/or currently published HTML template to edit on your computer then paste it into the Confirmation Email HTML Template field.

  7. You can also upload a logo to appear in your emails by clicking the Select Image File button.

  8. Select an image from your computer and click the Open button.
    Note: Images can be no larger than 480 x 480 pixels, and will appear at the top of your emails by default.
  9. Click the Save/Preview HTML Email button to preview your email.

  10. Click the Close button.

  11. If you're happy with your changes, click the Update button.

  12. Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.

Your updates are effective immediately and will be applied to future messages.

You can use most HTML tags and inline CSS. Scripting like JavaScript does not work in order emails, and will be automatically removed.

HTML order emails can also incorporate values from the order information and your store's variables. See this glossary for the values and what they mean.
