How do I manage my SRV records?

Learn how to add, edit, and delete service DNS entries in your Domain Control Panel.

Article ID: SLN29108

Please note that any changes that you make to your advanced DNS settings can interrupt your service. If you are not an advanced user, we strongly recommend that you not change these settings.

While changes will be shown immediately, it may take up to 30 minutes for them to fully propagate.

Note: The hostname is made up of two components: service and proto (protocol). These are generally provided as separate elements so combining the service and protocol components may be needed to set the correct hostname. In the hostname examples above, _http is the service component and _tcp is the proto component. Separate the two with a dot (.).
