Domain redirects allow you to redirect your domain name to another website. Domain redirects are available on Domains, Custom Mailbox, Business Mail, Web Hosting, and WordPress hosting plans.
Caution: Don't redirect your domain to itself or anything containing the same domain name - that is, don't redirect your-site-here.net to your-site-here.net/blog. If you do so, your visitors will see an error message.
Note: An SSL certificate is not available for Domains or Business Mail plans. If browsing your domain via the secure (https) protocol, such as https://your-site-here.net, the domain will show an SSL error. This will include when a redirect is set on the domain.
Jump to:
Sign into your My Services page.
Click the Domain link.
Select the Domain Redirects tab.
If your domain is locked, click the unlock your domain link to proceed.
Click the Create Redirect link. Note: You can also click the click here link further down.
In the Add Forward dialog:
Select a Redirect Type - Permanent (301) redirect or Temporary (302) redirect.
Enter an external destination address. Note: You have the option of entering redirect destination types, either a domain name or an IP address. If the destination is a specific page on the site being redirected to, the path to that page can also be included.
Select the protocol you want to use with the destination address, either the HTTP or HTTPS protocol. Note: For destination websites that use SSL, always select the HTTPS protocol for the optimal visitor experience.
Once you're satisfied with your settings, click the Add button.
