PayPal error 10002: "You do not have permissions to make this API call"

If you're getting this error and have verified that your PayPal API permissions are correct, you may need to confirm your email address with PayPal.

Confirm your email address with PayPal

  1. Sign in to your PayPal account.
  2. Go to the Settings icon next to Log out and select Your Profile.
  3. In the email section, click Confirm this email under your unconfirmed email address.

A confirmation email will be sent from PayPal to the selected email address. Click the Confirm your email button contained in this email. You'll be taken to a confirmation page on PayPal's website and prompted to enter your PayPal account password to confirm your email address.
