Partner access tokens

A partner access token is a unique code that authenticates the user when making an API call. A partner access token is only valid for an individual store, and cannot be used to make API calls for any other store.

Expired partner tokens cannot be used to make API calls. When partner API access for a store is renewed, a new token is generated and displayed in the Control Panel for the merchant. The partner will see it in their Manage Partner Tokens tool. Some partners may need the store merchant to provide a copy of the renewed token to them. A partner should always use the most current token when for making API calls for a store.

Once a partner has been added to a store's API access list, both the partner and the merchant may manage partner tokens.
