Article ID: SLN18674
Note: The process below is not applicable to default themes in Theme Manager.
The Store Editor allows you to remove one or more navigation buttons on all pages using the Nav-buttons variable (with the exception of the Home page in Editor 2.0, where you can remove navigation buttons directly on the Home page in Edit mode), or you can override the Nav-buttons variable on any page to remove buttons on a specific page. You can even remove all buttons appearing on your Shopping Cart in Editor 2.0.
Click Variables in the Editor toolbar on any page.
In the Navigation Links section (Button Properties section in Store Editor 2.0), click the Change button next to Nav-buttons.
The Edit List Position page loads where you can remove buttons. The number in fields represent the order of buttons in the navigation bar (top to bottom or left to right). Fields without numbers represent buttons that are not part of the navigation bar.
Click in the text box for the button(s) you wish to remove and delete the number from the text box. There is no need to renumber buttons in the menu as the order will remain the same minus the buttons that were removed. Note: For Store Editor 3.0 templates, only Home, Info, Privacy, Email, Index, and Show-order are valid options. These changes are made to all navigation bars throughout your store with the exception of any pages with variable overrides.
Click Update when finished.
Click Update to return to the Edit view of the page.
Publish when ready. Note: Making changes in Variables will require a full publish. Learn more.
These changes are made to all navigation bars throughout your store (with the exception of the Home page in Editor 2.0) and any pages with variable overrides to the Nav-buttons field.
