Collapse sections with no input errors

Learn how to make it easier for buyers to correct ordering input errors.

Checkout & Registration Manager offers the ability for you to collapse sections in your checkout pages with no errors when an input error occurs elsewhere on the page. For example, a buyer that fills out their shipping address but fails to enter a ZIP code and then tries to proceed in checkout would only see the ZIP code field remaining in the Shipping Address section, but the correctly filled in payment method section would not be displayed. By removing fields without errors, you can focus the buyer on the fields which require their attention to enter/correct.

Show or hide sections with no errors, when input errors occur

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Checkout & Registration Manager.
    The Checkout & Registration Manager link is under Order Settings.
  4. Go to Advanced Settings.
    The Advanced Settings link.
  5. In the Special Handling section, locate the Input Error Handling options and select one of the following:

    • Collapse sections with no errors when showing input errors to hide fields that do not have errors.
    • Always show all sections when showing input errors to display all fields regardless of errors or valid entry.

    The Input Error Handling options.

  6. Click the Save button.
    The Save and Save & Preview buttons.
  7. Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.
    The Publish Order Settings link.
