Processing orders with PayPal Payments Pro returns a card not supported error. What's wrong?

Find out why you see a "card not supported" error with PayPal Pro.

If you have set up PayPal Payments Pro, and you are receiving a card type not supported error when trying to process orders, check to ensure that real-time authorization is enabled for your account.

Select the Authorize field for your PayPal Payments Pro settings

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Payment Center.
    The Payment Center link is under Order Settings.
  4. Click the PayPal Payments Pro link (if not already expanded) then click the Edit button.

  5. Select the Authorize before confirming order radio button then click the OK button.

  6. Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.
