Expiring and expired cards alert

Update the expiration date on your payment information to avoid service interruption.

Article ID: SLN29051

We try to make having a Turbify service as easy as possible. One way we do so is by automatically billing your preferred payment method.
When your payment method expires or needs a new card security authentication, we're not able to bill for the service, and that may lead to service interruption. Nobody wants that, so we try to help you keep on top of things.

Card expiration alerts

If one or more of your credit or debit cards will expire or need re-authentication soon, you'll see a popup on your My Services page with two options:

  • Remind Later - come back to update

  • Use Saved Card - use another saved card

If they've already expired, the popup will let you know that too, with two options:

  • Remind Later - come back to update
  • Use Saved Card - use another saved card

Note: The expiring and expired credit or debit cards will also show the affected services that are linked to the card.

Should I Update or Replace with a new card?

Which method you use depends on what has changed between your current card and your new one. It also depends on whether your bank has a security authentication requirement for recurring charges.

  • If your card is expiring, but the CVV has not changed and your bank does not require a security authentication, you can just update the card. Click the Update Payment Method link to go to your My Account page, where you can update your billing information.

  • If your CVV has changed or your bank does require a security authentication, you will need to replace the card. Click the Replace link in My Account > Payment Methods, where you will be taken through the replace payment method flow.

Don't worry if you accidentally dismiss this window -- there'll be a banner at the top of your My Services page, too:

The click here link will also let you update your billing information.

My card is not expired. Why am I being prompted to replace it?

Your card may not have expired. However, your bank may have opted to require an extra security authentication for some online charges, including recurring services. (Learn More)

If you are being prompted to replace your card, that authentication is now required or an existing security authentication for your card has expired. In order to perform a new authentication, we need to have you add a new payment method.
