How do I add a section to a page?

Learn how to add sections in the Website Builder design tool.

Sections within Website Builder are where page elements such as text, images, maps, and slideshows will be displayed. There are many types of sections to choose from.

Add a section

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
    The Edit site and Site Design links.
  2. Click the + icon at the top or bottom of an existing section. This will depend on where you want the new section to be displayed - above or below the section.

  3. Choose the section category from the Add a new section column on the left side. When clicking on a section category, you will see a preview of each section.

  4. On the preview screen, you can choose from different layouts within that particular section category by clicking the left and right arrows.

  5. Choose the desired layout by clicking + icon.

  6. In the Apply website style window, select if you wish to apply the original section style or your own website style. Learn more.

  7. You will then be taken to the new section to begin editing.
  8. If you change your mind about the placement of the new section, mouse over the right side of the section and click the up or down arrows to move the section. Learn how.
  9. Publish when ready.

Note: You can also add a new section by clicking the + button on the bottom-right of your screen and selecting Add Section.
