Manage your site menu

Learn the many ways in which you can display the navigation links on your Website Builder site.

The site menu on your Website Builder site has many display options available. Learn how to manage the site menu to best suit your needs. Note: You can also add subpages to your menu. Learn how.

Note: Some themes may limit the amount of text that can be displayed in the site menu. This is mainly due to the format of the theme's menu. The size of the icon, title, and subtitle may also contribute to this. When this occurs, the Menu Layout will default to Hamburger.

Manage your site menu

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.

  2. Click the + button on the bottom-right of your Design page.

  3. When the menu expands, select Edit Menu. The Website Menu pane will open.

  • Menu Layout - Set the layout style of the site menu:
    • Top
    • Fixed
    • Overlay
    • Centered
    • Side
    • Hamburger Default
    • Hamburger Fullscreen
    • Hamburger Side
    • Hidden
    Click the arrow next to Buttons' Dimensions to open additional settings.

Item

  • Visible Elements - Add or hide a Title, Subtitle, and Logo.
  • Manage your site menu links and buttons. You can rearrange the order of the menu buttons, turn a page into a subpage, delete a button, rename the text of the menu buttons, and add menu links. Mouse over each menu button to see options to make changes to existing buttons.

Effects

You can adjust button effects. Mouse over each Button effect to see an example of the effect.

  • Buttons effects.

Pro

You can further adjust the layout of your site menu.

  • Adjust dimensions for:
    • Max width
    • Center width
    • Width
    • Stripe padding
  • Do a hard reset of your Pro settings.
    Click the arrow next to Spacing Control for more options.

Remember to publish your site after you make your changes.
