Add a blog

Learn how to add a blog to your Website Builder site.

A blog can be added to your site as a section or as its own page.  Note: This is not a WordPress blog, but a blog that you can manage within Website Builder.

Add a blog as a section

Note: Not all themes have the option to add a Blog as a new page.

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
    The Edit site and Site Design links.
  2. Navigate to the page to which you wish to add the blog.
  3. Click the + icon at the top or bottom of an existing section. This will depend on where you want the new section to be displayed - above or below the section.
    The + icon will add a new section.
  4. On the left side, select Blog.
    Click the Blog link.
  5. On the preview screen, you can choose from different blog layouts by clicking the left and right arrows.

  6. Chose the desired blog layout by clicking + icon.
  7. In the Apply website style window, select if you wish to apply the original section style or your own website style.
    Choose to apply the original section style or your own website style.
  8. You will be taken to the new blog section.

One you have created your new blog, you can begin editing and managing the blog. Learn more.

Add a blog as a new page

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
    The Edit site and Site Design links.
  2. Mouse over the Page tab on the top left then select Add a New Page.

  3. Select the blog page by clicking the Blog thumbnail image.

    Note: The thumbnail will look different depending on your chosen theme.
  4. In the Name your new page window, add a name for the blog and click Add page.
    Give your blog a name and click Add page.
  5. Confirm if you wish to add the new page to your site menu.
    Add the new page to your site menu now or later.
  6. You will be taken to your new blog page.
