Javascript Check Alert

Learn how to add a custom message for your customers if they receive a card validation error upon checkout.

If your customers have Javascript disabled in their web browser, they may receive a general card validation error during checkout. Learn how to customize the message your customer will see if this happens. The message you create should alert your customers to enable Javascript.

Enable Javascript Check Alert

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Checkout & Registration Manager.
    The Checkout & Registration Manager link is under Order Settings.
  4. Go to Advanced Settings.

  5. In the Javascript Check Alert section, click the checkbox next to Check for Javascript.

  6. In the Message field, customize the message your customers will see if they have Javascript disabled.

  7. Click the Save or Save & Preview button.

  8. Publish your order settings.
