Mandrill order emails

Learn how to implement a Mandrill API Key for your transactional emails.

Mandrill is an email infrastructure service offered as an add-on for MailChimp that you can use to send personalized or automated order transactional emails. You can add a Mandrill API key to your store and send order transactional emails via the Mandrill API integration.

Before you can implement a Mandrill API Key, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Create a MailChimp account or sign in to your MailChimp account
  2. Add Mandrill to your MailChimp account
  3. Set up your Sending Domain
  4. Create a Mandrill API Key via your Mandrill Settings page
  5. Verify your domain name
  6. Add DNS records (TXT) for your sending domain
    Note: You can add the TXT records in your Domain Control Panel. Learn how.

Note: For assistance with the Mandrill interface and creating the Mandrill API key, please contact Mandrill support.

Add a Mandrill API Key to your store

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.

  3. Go to Shipment & Order Status.
    The Shipment & Order Status link is under Order Settings.
  4. Click the Advanced Settings tab.

  5. Enter your Mandrill API Key.

  6. Enter your Mandrill From Address.

  7. Click the Update button.

  8. Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.
