Distrusted certificate warning in Chrome

Learn more about Google's treatment of SSL certs issued by Symantec, and what it means for your store.

Article ID: SLN29283

If you've used Google Chrome's Developer Tools console while viewing a Turbify store recently, you may have seen the following warning:

The certificate used to load [page URL] uses an SSL certificate that will be distrusted in an upcoming release of Chrome. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading this resource. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.

This warning appears in newer versions of the Chrome browser due to upcoming changes in how Google plans to handle certain SSL certificates. For additional details on these changes, please see this Google blog post.

Please be assured that Turbify takes our merchants’ security very seriously, as well as that of their shoppers. This store’s SSL certificates remain valid, and any required changes will be made before the December 2018 deadline communicated in Google’s blog post.
