Rename buttons in your site menu

Learn how to change the label of page names that appear in your site navigation.

If you decide to rename one or more of your Website Builder pages, you may also want to rename the button names of the pages in your site navigation.

Edit menu buttons

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
    The Site Design and Edit site links.
  2. On your site menu, mouse over and click the button you wish to change then click Edit Button.
    The Edit button.
  3. Your cursor will appear next to the text. A text editor will also appear in case you wish to edit the text format.
    Edit the text.
  4. One you've made your changes, click anywhere outside of the editing area to exit.
    The changes have been made.
  5. Publish when ready.
    The Publish button.

You can also change your button labels on the Item section of Website Menu.

Edit menu buttons using Website Menu

  1. From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
    The Site Design and Edit site links.
  2. Mouse over the Pages tab on the top left.
    The Pages tab.
  3. Towards the right, click Manage Menu. The Website Menu window will open.
    The Manage Menu option.
  4. Select Item.
    The Item pane.
  5. Mouse over the button that you wish to update. The button will be highlighted.
    Mouse over the button name.
  6. Click inside the field which contains the button name and update the name.
    Update the button name.
  7. Once you've made your changes, click the X to exit Website Menu.
    Close out of Website Menu.
  8. Publish when ready.
    The Publish button.
