Manage your Blog and Article Settings

In Website Builder, you can customize and manage your blog and blog posts by accessing Blog Settings and Article Settings.

Blog Settings

On your Blog page, you can access your Blog Settings in two ways:

  • Click outside any blog elements then select Section Settings.

  • Click inside any blog elements then select Section Settings.

Section

  • Add Post - Click the Add Post button to add a new article to your blog.
    Click the arrows next to Gallery Settings and Section Dimensions for more options.

  • Choose the layout style of your posts: regular, fit, or mazonite.
  • Remove Header - Delete the header text area above your posts. Note: Once the header is removed, the button text will be Add Header.
  • Number of items in a row - Determine how many posts display per row.
  • Space between items - Set the space between posts.
  • Items height - Set the height of your posts.
  • Section Dimensions - Selecting boxed or stretched determines the overall size of your blog.

Item

  • Visible Elements - Choose to have the Title and Subtitle visible or hidden.
    Click the arrows to the right of Item Layout, Item Align, and Item Width & Margin for more options.

  • Item Layout - Manage the layout of the descriptive text, titles, and subtitles of your blog.
  • Item Align - Set the alignment of the descriptive text, titles, and subtitles of your blog.
  • Item Width & Margin - Set the width and height of the descriptive text, titles, and subtitles of your blog.

Effects - Enter f/x

  • Create mouse over effects on your posts when the blog page is accessed.
  • Set color effects for the mouse over effects.
    Click the arrows to the right of Item Layout, Item Align, and Item Width & Margin for more options.

  • Set images Filters and image Opacity and Color.

Effects - Hover f/x

  • Create effects on your posts when the blog page is accessed.
  • Set color effects for the effects.
    Click the arrows next to Image Filters and Opacity & Color for more options.

Pro

Configure settings for:

  • Max width - The maximum width of your blog.
  • Item max width - The maximum width of your items.
  • Stripe padding - The amount of padding around the blog.
  • Content width - The width of the text elements for each blog image.
  • Green width - Not currently used.
  • Item padding - The amount of padding around each blog image.
  • Choose to enable or disable the ability to download your blog images.
  • Do a hard reset of your Pro settings.
    Click the arrow next to Spacing Control for additional options.

  • Set other spacing parameters for text, titles, subtitles, header text, and header buttons.

Article Settings

You can access your Article Settings by going to a blog post pageNote: For Article Section Settings, see this Help Page.

  1. On the main blog page, click inside any item then select Edit POST.

  2. On the post page, click outside any blog post item then select Section Settings.

Section

Click the arrow next to Section Dimensions to set the blog post display format: boxed or stretched.

Item

Set the alignment of your blog post page.

Pro

  • Set the Max width, Body width, Stripe padding, and Content width of the blog page.
  • Set the text box spacing of the blog page.
  • Do a hard reset of your Article Pro settings.

Remember to publish your site once your changes are made.
