You can add new images to your WordPress site or blog after uploading the image using the Media Uploader tool.
WordPress supports these image file types:

Insert individual images
- Sign in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to the Post or Page where you wish to add the image.
- Place your cursor on the spot that you wish to insert the image and click the Add block icon.

- Search and select Image.

- In the Image block, you can upload an image file, pick one from your media library, or add one with a URL. Note: The maximum upload file size is 2 MB.

- If you want to upload an image from the Media Library:
- Click the Upload Files tab.

- Drag and drop your image or click the Select Files button to upload your image.

Once you upload an image, it will become part of your Media Library.

- From the Media Library tab, make sure your image is marked with a checkmark. If it's not, click the image.

- Click the Select button.

- Click the Save draft link to save your changes, click the Preview link to preview your changes, and Publish when ready.

Create an Image Gallery
- Sign in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to the Post or or Page to which you wish to add the image gallery.
- Place your cursor on the spot that you wish to insert the gallery and click the Add block icon.

- Search and select Gallery.

- In the Gallery block, you can drag and drop images, upload an image file or pick images from your media library. Note: The maximum upload file size is 2 MB.

- If you want to upload images for your gallery from the Media Library:
- Click the Upload Files tab.

- Drag and drop your images or click the Select Files button to upload your images. Once your images are uploaded, click the Media Library tab as described below.

- Select each image you wish to add to your gallery.

- Click the Create a new gallery button.

- On the Edit Gallery page, you can rearrange the order of your images by dragging them to the desired location. You can also add a caption for each image.

- Click the Insert gallery button.

- Click the Save draft link to save your changes, click the Preview button to preview your changes, and Publish when ready.
