In WordPress, you can upload audio files to your Posts and Pages. The files can be single files or grouped together in Audio Playlists.

WordPress supports these audio file types:

• .mp3
• .m4a
• .wav

Add audio files

1. Sign in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Page or Post where you wish to add the audio file.
3. Click the Add block icon.
   
4. Search and select Audio.
   
5. In the Audio dialog, choose to drag and drop a file, manually Upload the file, go to your Media Library to retrieve the file, or Insert the file's URL. Note: There is a 2 MB file size limit. Learn how to upload files to your Media Library.
   
6. On the Media Library tab, select the media file.
   
7. Click the Select button.
   
8. WordPress will add a media player to your Post or Page. You can play the file while still editing the Post or Page.
   
9. Click the Save draft link to save your changes, click the Preview link to preview your changes, and Publish when ready.
   

Delete audio files

1. Sign in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Page or Post where you wish to delete the audio file.
3. Click on the media player.
   
4. Click the Options icon.
   
5. Select Remove Audio. The audio file will immediately be deleted.
   
6. Click the Save draft link to save your changes, click the Preview link to preview your changes, and Publish when ready.
