Is the verification email a scam?

The email may look generic, but please rest assured, it is not a scam. If the email is coming from domain-tech@turbify.com it is a real email and you can proceed with the verification process. To ensure you are clicking the correct link, the approval URL should follow this format: http://approve.domainadmin.com/registrant/ - the verification ID should be appended to the end of the link.

Why am I getting this email?

ICANN’s Registrar Accreditation Agreement states that all domain owners need to verify their contact information from time to time. We send you these verification emails when your domain:

  • is first registered with us;
  • transfers here from another registrar;
  • nears its renewal date; or
  • has updates made to its contact information.

What should the verification email look like?

The verification email should look similar to this:

How do I complete the verification?

We ask that you follow the verification steps as soon as you receive the message. Just click the link highlighted above to arrive at this screen:

As long as the email address, first name, and last name are correct on this page, all you need to do is click Verify Information and you're done!

If the information shown is incorrect, you may need to update your contact information.

What happens if I don't verify my contact information?

You will receive several emails until you verify the information. If you wait too long, your domain may become suspended until you've completed verification.
