For each WordPress installation, the Toolkit logs important events such as theme and plugin updates, applying security measures and cloning a website. Note: The event logs are not the same as the WordPress error and access logs. Learn more.
Click the WordPress Management link on the left toolbar. Note: WordPress Management is not available for the WordPress Essentials Hosting plan.
In the Dashboard section for the selected website, click the Logs link.
In the Logs modal, the latest logged events are listed first.
You can filter by date, severity, actor, and message.
Click the Refresh button to update the logs or enable Real-time updates to receive updates every 5 seconds while the modal is open. Note: Clicking the Clear button will remove all events while the logs modal is open.
To download the log file to your local drive, click the action-logs.log link.
Log Rotation
Log rotation is enabled by default for each WordPress installation. You can rotate log files by size and time and select the number of logs to keep.
Click the Log Rotation button to adjust the settings.
Adjust log rotation selections:
Enabled - By default, the checkbox is selected. You can manually disable log rotation by deselecting the checkbox.
Rotate by size or Rotate by time - Select the required option and specify the maximum log size or the rotation time.
Maximum number of log files - When the number of log files reaches the specified value, WordPress Toolkit will compress the earliest uncompressed log file before creating a new one.
Disk space economy - To save disk space, select Compress log files. If you want the log files to be available at any moment, select Do not compress log files.
Remember to click the Save button after making log rotation changes.
