Locating insecure elements on your site pages

Learn how to troubleshoot browser security warnings on your site pages.

Article ID: SLN29338

If you have enabled SSL on your website using cPanel SSL/TLS Manager or your store using Security Manager, your website or store will display as https (secure) in your web browser. Afterward, if your website or store is still displaying as http (insecure), you may have insecure elements on your pages and see a Mixed Content warning in your browser.

These insecure elements may be images or other files that are linked to your site via HTTP. You can check your site or store pages for insecure elements by using Chrome's DevTools or Mozilla's Web Console. Note: This process will need to be done for each page on your site or store.

Once you determine which elements are insecure, you can replace them by linking the files from a secure source. Note: Merchants can avoid the risk of having insecure elements on their pages by uploading files to Store Files rather than linking to files stored in the Web Hosting File Manager.
