WordPress Toolkit provides features that enable you to install, configure and manage all of your WordPress websites in one convenient location. The feature rich interface makes it easy to update plugins and themes, clone your website for staging, and easily perform backups. You can access the WordPress Toolkit from cPanel.
Note: WP Toolkit is not available for the WordPress Essentials Hosting plan.
We've divided the WordPress Toolkit into five sections to help you better understand all it offers.
Section 1 is primarily used to manage all your website installations simultaneously. This process is useful if you want to update a specific plugin or theme for all installed websites. Most of the tools in this section require that you first checkmark one or more websites to perform the function.
In Section 1 there are three main sections:
In the Installations section, you have the ability to install a new WordPress website, scan for an existing website to bring it into WP Toolkit, perform security updates, and detach or remove websites from WP Toolkit. The installation section also has an Update button to quickly check for updates and to perform WordPress core, plugin and theme updates for a single site or all websites.
The Plugins and Themes sections list what is available to update and where the plugin and theme are installed for specific websites. You can also install, activate, deactivate, update and remove plugins and themes for all websites with just a few clicks.

Note: Updating plugins, themes, and security for all websites at once is not discussed in this article. See Section 4 to update plugins and themes for individual WordPress installations.
Section 2 identifies a particular Website's URL and enables you to Checkmark the site to perform functions in Section 1.
If you have several installations of the same website, you can label them to keep sites organized. For example, you may want to Add a Label for a production, staging, or test website. You can also quickly access your website’s homepage by clicking the Open link. This area also displays a website status messages, for example, if your database connection is lost, you will see a BROKEN notice.
The tool icons in this section duplicate the functionality in Sections 1 and 3, but just for the selected website.
Using the above tool icons, you can:
This area also displays Issues to resolve.

Section 3 provides a quick way to Log in to your WordPress dashboard and if you need to, you can change the administrator's email and password by clicking the Setup link.
This section also takes a Screenshot of your website’s current homepage. To refresh the screenshot, simply hover with your mouse and click the refresh icon to update the image. Like in Section 2, there is a quick access button that will open your website in a new browser window.
The website's Domain name and system generated Owner are also listed in this section.

Section 4 is where most WordPress tools are used to manage individual websites. If you have more than one WordPress website installed, each instance will have a card to manage the features and tools discussed below. There is a Status section to alert you to update to the latest version of WordPress and to install updates for Plugins and Themes.
Section 4 is further divided into the following subsections:
There are features and tools in Section 4 that are also found in cPanel and in your WordPress dashboard. For example, you can also access the File Manager and phpMyAdmin (located in the Database subsection) from cPanel. Other popular features in Section 4 include Copy/Clone and Backup/Restore. In the Tools section you will find useful features to easily turn on search engine indexing, debugging, and more.

Section 5 has several great features that make it easy to update your website and turn on a customized maintenance page while performing updates.
With the Updates feature, you can select all or certain plugins and themes to update. The Autoupdate settings allow you to select which type of update to perform automatically. The Smart Update tool will make a copy of your website before updates are performed. This is a handy tool to use to test and clone your website to see if updates break your site.
While updating or doing extensive website work, you may want to turn on a Maintenance page. The page can be customized with your own background image, and you can add social media links and a countdown timer.
The Check WordPress Integrity feature will check the installed core system to ensure the files have not been compromised. If so, you can reinstall WordPress core files.
